Service Visits
Service Visits is the operations page where you review technician service visits across your business, filter them, open full visit details, and take visit-level actions such as reschedule, skip, and resend report. Open it from Operations → Service Visits.
Visits are the stop-level record of work in the field. Recurring service usually comes from Routes and Service Plans; one-time repair jobs are tracked as Work Orders.
Browse visits
Service Visits shows an expandable card for each visit, sorted with the most recently updated visits first. Each collapsed card can show:
Customer name and pool name (or Service visit when no pool name is set)
Status badge
Scheduled date
Property address
Assigned technician
Score followed by the after-visit health score, when a score exists
Counts for photos, chemistry readings, and chemicals used, when those exist
Linked work order number, when the visit belongs to a work order
Issues Found badge, when the technician logged issues
Expand a card to open the full visit record. Detail sections only appear when they have data—empty readings, photos, chemicals, services, or signatures are hidden rather than shown blank.
If nothing matches the current filters, the page shows No service visits found with the helper text Try adjusting your search or filters.
Filter and search
Filters combine together, so a visit must match every active filter to appear. Changing any filter resets you to page 1. Refreshing the page keeps your current filters.
Search — placeholder Search customer or service address…
Technician — defaults to All technicians; otherwise choose a technician by name (sorted A–Z)
Type — All types, Service (visits with no work order), or Repair (visits linked to a work order)
Status — single-select pills: All, Scheduled, En route, Arrived, In progress, Completed, Skipped, Cancelled
Date range — button reads All dates until a range is applied, then shows the selected range
When you first open Service Visits, the status filter defaults to Completed. Switch to All or another status if you need scheduled or in-progress visits.
Set a date range
Open the date filter (labeled All dates when no range is set).
In Filter by date range, set From and To.
Click Apply. Apply stays disabled until both dates are set. If the dates are entered in reverse order, the page swaps them when applying.
Click Clear Date Range to remove the date filter.
Visit statuses
Each visit shows one of these statuses:
Status | Meaning on this page |
|---|---|
Scheduled | Visit is planned and not started. Reschedule and Skip are available for regular service visits. |
En route | Technician is traveling to the stop. |
Arrived | Technician is on site. |
In progress | Service is underway. |
Completed | Visit is finished. Resend report is available. |
Skipped | Visit was skipped. Reschedule is available for regular service visits and clears the skip. |
Cancelled | Visit was cancelled. It cannot be rescheduled from this page. |
Visit details
Expand a visit card to review everything captured for that stop. Sections appear only when data exists.
Timing
On my way — when the on-my-way notification was sent
On site — arrival time, and departure plus duration in minutes when departure was recorded
Skipped at — skip timestamp, shown when the visit was skipped and there is no arrival time
Notes and issues
Summary to customer — customer-facing summary from the visit
Office note — office-facing note on the visit
Technician notes — notes the technician entered in the field
Issues Found — each issue description logged on the visit
Skip reason — reason label and skip note, when the visit was skipped
Work performed
Work order — title and optional description when the visit is tied to a work order; the work order number in the header opens the work order in a new tab
Services performed — completed checklist items, each with name and optional category
Readings — non-empty chemistry values among pH, FC, TC, TA, CYA, CH, Salt, and Temp (temperature shows in °F)
Chemicals added — chemical name with amount and unit
Photos and signatures
Before photos, After photos, and Additional photos (internal) — thumbnails open the full image in a new tab. Before and After sections can also hold short video clips recorded by the technician (up to 15 seconds each); videos play inline with a poster frame. Videos are not included in the compact dashboard thumbnail.
Signatures — signature image plus signer type, optional signer name, and signed date
Reschedule a visit
Reschedule moves a regular service visit to a new date and/or technician and updates the related route stop. Use it for Scheduled or Skipped visits that are not managed by a work order.
Expand the visit card and click Reschedule.
In Reschedule visit, set New date and Technician.
Click Reschedule (the button shows Rescheduling… while saving).
The dialog states that the visit moves to the chosen technician’s route for that day and the original stop is removed from its old route. The submit button stays disabled until both fields are set and at least one value differs from the current visit.
After a successful reschedule, the dialog closes and the list refreshes. If the visit was Skipped, rescheduling returns it to Scheduled and clears the skip reason, skip note, and skipped time.
Reschedule is blocked when:
The visit is linked to a work order — reschedule it from the work order instead. The error is This visit is managed by its work order — reschedule it from the work order instead.
The visit is already in progress in the field (En route, Arrived, In progress), Completed, or Cancelled
The property already has another non-cancelled service visit on the target day — This property already has a service visit scheduled on that day.
If reschedule fails for another reason, the dialog shows the server error or Failed to reschedule the visit. Please try again.
Skip a visit
Skip marks a regular Scheduled service visit as Skipped. Skip is not shown for work-order-managed visits or for visits that have already left Scheduled status.
Expand the visit card and click Skip.
In Skip visit, choose a Reason and enter a Note (placeholder What happened?).
Click Skip visit (the button shows Skipping… while saving).
Both reason and note are required before you can submit. Reason options are:
Gate Locked
Dog Loose
Construction
Customer Request
Weather
Other
After a successful skip, the dialog closes and the list refreshes. Expanded details show Skip reason with the reason and note. To put the stop back on a route, use Unskip or Reschedule on the skipped visit.
If skip fails, the dialog shows the server error or Failed to skip the visit. Please try again.
Unskip a visit
Unskip puts a skipped visit back on the schedule. It returns the visit to Scheduled, clears the skip reason and note, and puts the stop back on the route as pending. Use it for a skipped visit whose scheduled date is today or later. For a skipped visit from the past, use Reschedule instead, which moves it to a new date and clears the skip.
Expand the skipped visit card and click Unskip.
Confirm putting the visit back on the schedule.
On success the visit returns to Scheduled. If unskip fails, you see Could not unskip the visit. Please try again.
Resend the service report
For Completed visits, Resend report sends the post-visit service report again to the customer and any opted-in property contacts on their preferred channel.
Expand a completed visit and click Resend report.
Confirm re-sending the service report.
On success, you see Report sent with The service report has been re-sent to the customer. On failure, you see Resend failed with the server message or Could not resend the service report.
Only completed visits have a report to resend. Resend also fails when the customer cannot be reached on their notification channel.
Work-order-managed visits
Visits linked to a work order appear on this page and can be filtered with type Repair. Their work order number opens the work order in a new tab.
Skip and Reschedule are hidden on these visits. Change scheduling from the work order itself rather than from Service Visits.
