The Map Tab
The Map tab shows your route stops on a geographic map, giving you a spatial view of your workday. It displays stop locations, route paths, and status colors so you can visualize where you're going and how far along you are.
What you see on the map
When you have an assigned route, the Map tab displays:
Numbered stop markers — Each stop appears as a circle with its sequence number, showing the order you'll visit each property.
Status colors — The marker color shows the stop's current status:
Green — Completed stops
Amber — Stops in progress (en route, arrived, or actively working)
Gray — Pending stops you haven't started yet
Red — Skipped stops
Route path — A dashed line connects your stops in sequence, showing the planned route between properties.
Status legend — A legend at the bottom explains the color coding for completed, in progress, and pending stops.
Tap a stop marker for details
Tap any stop marker on the map to see a callout with more information:
The stop number
The customer name (if available)
The property address (if available)
This helps you identify stops at a glance without leaving the map view.
Show your home location
If your technician profile has a home location set, you'll see a "Show Home" toggle on the Map tab. When enabled:
A home marker appears on the map
Gray dashed lines show the path from your home to the first stop
Another gray dashed line shows the path from the last stop back to your home
This helps you visualize your full travel distance for the day. Toggle it off to focus only on the stops themselves.
Offline indicator
The Map tab shows an online status indicator in the header. This tells you whether the app is connected to the network or working offline. Your map data loads from your cached schedule, so you can view your route even without a connection.
How the Map tab complements the Route tab
The Route tab shows your stops as a list with detailed information about each visit. The Map tab shows the same stops geographically. Use both together:
Use the Route tab to see details, start visits, and complete work.
Use the Map tab to plan your travel, understand route layout, and see where you are in your day spatially.
When you change the selected day on the Route tab, the Map tab shows stops for that same day. Day selection is synced between both tabs.
When you have no route
If you don't have any stops scheduled for the selected day, the Map tab shows an empty state with a "No route" message. This means no stops are assigned to you for that day.
Loading and error states
The Map tab loads your schedule data when you open it. If the data fails to load, you'll see an error state with a retry button. Tap retry to try loading your route again.
