The Social & Web section in Settings lets you add your company website and social media links. These links strengthen your online presence and help customers connect with your business across multiple platforms. Your website and social profiles appear on your Customer Portal and can be included in customer email communications.
Access Social & Web settings
From the admin dashboard, click Settings in the left navigation. In the Company section of the sidebar, click Social & Web.
Website
Enter your company website URL to give customers a direct link to your main online presence.
URL field
Enter the full URL of your company website, including the protocol (https://). The field shows a placeholder: https://www.yourpoolcompany.com.
Valid formats:
https://www.yourpoolcompany.com
https://yourpoolcompany.com
http://www.yourpoolcompany.com (not recommended—use HTTPS when available)
Use the HTTPS version of your website URL whenever possible. This ensures the link works properly in customer emails and adds a layer of security for your customers.
Add links to your business profiles on social platforms. Each social network serves different purposes for pool service businesses:
Facebook
Enter the URL to your Facebook business page. Facebook is useful for sharing photos of completed work, pool care tips, and engaging with local customers through posts and messages.
Valid format: https://www.facebook.com/yourbusinessname
Instagram
Enter the URL to your Instagram business profile. Instagram works well for visual content—before and after pool photos, equipment showcases, and behind-the-scenes looks at your team at work.
Valid format: https://www.instagram.com/yourbusinessname
Google Business
Enter the URL to your Google Business Profile. This links customers directly to your Google listing where they can see reviews, photos, hours, and get directions to your office.
Valid format: https://business.google.com/... or https://g.page/r/... (use the URL from your Google Business Profile's share link)
This field links customers to your Google Business Profile for viewing. To sync reviews and manage your online reputation through Chisel Tide, use the Review Systems integration in Company Settings instead.
Yelp
Enter the URL to your Yelp business page. Yelp is particularly valuable for local service businesses, as many customers use it to find and evaluate pool service providers in their area.
Valid format: https://www.yelp.com/biz/your-business-name-city-state
Nextdoor
Enter the URL to your Nextdoor business page. Nextdoor connects you with neighborhood customers who often seek service recommendations from their local community.
Valid format: https://nextdoor.com/pages/your-business-name-city-state/
Where links appear
Your website and social media links appear in two places:
Customer Portal
Customers viewing their account online can see your website and social links. This gives customers an easy way to learn more about your business, view your portfolio of work, and connect with you on their preferred platform.
Customer Emails
Social and web links can be included in customer email communications—such as service notifications and appointment reminders. This helps reinforce your brand and gives customers additional ways to reach you.
Why add social links
Adding your social media profiles provides several benefits for pool service businesses:
Build trust — Customers can see your work history, read reviews, and get a feel for your company before booking service.
Stay connected — Customers who follow your social profiles receive updates about your services, seasonal tips, and company news.
Increase referrals — Satisfied customers can easily share your profiles with friends and neighbors looking for pool service.
Improve local visibility — Google Business, Yelp, and Nextdoor listings help customers in your service area find you through local search.
Save your changes
After entering your website URL and social media links:
Click Save Changes in the top right.
The button shows Saving... while processing.
Once complete, the button changes to Saved.
Your links will appear on the Customer Portal and be available for email templates immediately.
Best practices
To get your Google Business Profile URL:
Go to Google Maps and search for your business.
Click on your business listing.
Click the share button or copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
The URL typically looks like https://maps.google.com/... or https://business.google.com/....
Always use your business social profiles rather than personal accounts. Business pages offer features like reviews, messaging, and insights that help you manage your professional presence. Personal profiles don't provide the same customer engagement tools and may look unprofessional to customers.
