Approval reminders
Chisel Tide automatically follows up with customers who haven't responded to a sent proposal or work-order quote. Follow-ups go out by email or SMS, and you can review the full history on the proposal or work-order detail page.
When reminders are sent
After a proposal or quote is first delivered successfully, Chisel Tide can send up to three automated follow-ups on day 3, day 7, and day 14 after delivery. No follow-up is sent after day 21.
Day 3 — First follow-up
Day 7 — Second follow-up
Day 14 — Final follow-up
The schedule is anchored to when the proposal was sent or the quote was quoted. A failed or skipped delivery doesn't advance the schedule, so the same step can be retried on a later daily check.
Which documents are eligible
Only proposals in Sent or Viewed status and work orders in Quoted status are eligible. A document must have a successfully delivered original message to enter the schedule. Customers who respond stop further follow-ups.
Proposal expiry notices
Proposals approaching their Valid Until date can also receive an Expiry notice up to two days before expiration. The notice is skipped if the proposal was already within that window when it was sent. Work-order quotes don't expire through this process.
When a proposal's Valid Until date passes, the daily check moves it to Expired. An expired proposal can no longer be accepted or declined in the portal; you can edit it to reset it to draft and send it again.
Delivery channels and preferences
Follow-ups are delivered by email or SMS according to each recipient's preferred contact method, and only to recipients whose notification preferences include Payment approvals. SMS requires confirmed SMS consent and a configured SMS provider; otherwise delivery falls back to email. There is no separate organization-wide toggle for reminders — you control them per customer and per property contact.
Follow-up history
Once at least one approval message is delivered, the proposal and work-order detail pages show a Follow-up history card listing the date, channel, and label for each message: Sent, First follow-up, Second follow-up, Final follow-up, Expiry notice, or Manually resent. While a document is awaiting a response, the card shows the next scheduled follow-up, or No further follow-ups scheduled once the ladder has ended.
How reminders stop
Approving or declining a proposal or quote stops further follow-ups. Resending a proposal or quote manually records a Manually resent entry and delays the next automated message without restarting the day-3/day-7/day-14 schedule.
