Overview

Chisel Tide is a pool service management platform built for pool service businesses. It helps you manage customers and properties, schedule and dispatch technicians, execute service visits in the field, communicate with customers, and handle billing. All in one integrated system.

Who Chisel Tide is for

Chisel Tide serves three distinct user types, each with their own app:

  • Admin Web Dashboard — For business owners, dispatchers, and office staff. Manage customers, build and assign routes, dispatch technicians, review completed visits, create invoices and proposals, and oversee billing.

  • Technician Mobile App — For field technicians on iOS and Android. View your assigned route, navigate stop-to-stop, execute service visits, capture before-and-after photos, complete checklists, log chemistry readings and chemical usage, and work offline when you don't have cell service.

  • Customer Web Portal — For your customers. They can review their service history, see photos and notes from each visit, view and pay invoices, accept proposals, and manage notification preferences.

Key capabilities

Chisel Tide gives you the tools to run a pool service business from end to end:

Customer management

Keep track of all your customers, including their contact and property details. Customers can have multiple properties, each with multiple pools, and each with multiple equipment. Each property can have optional property managers for notification and billing purposes.

Scheduling and routing

Build daily routes, assign technicians, and dispatch work from the Admin Dashboard. Use route templates for recurring schedules, drag-and-drop stops to optimize travel, and track real-time progress as technicians complete their day.

Service visit execution

Technicians complete visits with a guided workflow: required checklists, before-and-after photos, chemistry readings, and chemical usage logging. Everything syncs automatically when connectivity is restored, even if the route was completed entirely offline. The app is localized for English and Spanish.

Billing and payments

Create proposals, generate invoices, and accept payments through Stripe. Customers can view and pay their invoices directly in the Customer Portal. They can also store an autopay method and can sign up for payment plans to pay in installments. All payment information is securely stored by Stripe.

Customer communication

Send automated "On My Way" notifications via email and SMS when technicians head to a property. Manage messages in the Admin Dashboard, and let customers self-service through the Customer Portal.

Inventory management

Track chemicals and parts across your operation so you know what's in stock and what's been used on each job. Technicians can check chemicals out to their truck in the morning and check any remaining chemicals back into the inventory after a route.

AI assistance

The Operate assistant helps you navigate all your data and understand the state of your business all from a simple chat interface: no more clicking around trying to find the right form or table. Also the technician's mobile app provides an assistant to interpret chemistry readings and troubleshoot pool issues.

Getting started

Chisel Tide uses passwordless authentication. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email—no password required. If you're new to the platform, start with these articles:

If you're a technician, download the Chisel Tide app from the iOS App Store and sign in with your work email. The app guides you through each visit step-by-step.
